Default Charger Question

By mistake I ran my new batteries down pretty far today, when I got the cart home to charge the charger wont come on. It turns on for 2 seconds then shuts off. The whole battery pack reads 47V and each battery reads around 7.8 shouldnt this be enough juice to kick the charger in.

You are down to about 25-30% charge . . . may have to bring up each battery individually to restore . . .

They are down far enough to draw maximum amperage from your charger. You may have a weak relay or breaker in the charger. Can you try another charger?

i agree with scotty, 47 volts is more than enough for charger to come on this sounds like a classic diode went bad.....i would try the charger on another cart if you can or test the diodes......if bad and need replaced for the price of the breaker i would also replace it................................

Would it be the little 15 amp breaker on the charger that needs to be replaced.... I might have another charger I can try but will have to track one down.

yes if you find you need diodes its the breaker on the charger in front.....................they redesigned that breaker for some reason so your new one may look different but will fit....................................

Unless the breaker is tripping, then no.
