Re: Suddenly stopping
JohnnieB, Is there a way to test that the controller is fried and not a false code? (I am now getting a 3-1 code) How can I determine that nothing else is possible wrong before changing the controller?
Thank You for your time and knowledge! This board is very interesting with knowledgeable help! (I have read a lot of other threads but can't find a fix for my issue.) ------------------------------------- 2001 txt standard pds ezgo |

Re: Suddenly stopping
Make sure there is FULL pack voltage on J1 Pins 4 & 5.
Run/Tow in Run Key ON F/R in F (or R) Measure voltage on the Yellow wire on the solenoid. It should be full pack voltage or very close to it. If it isn't, one of the switches listed above is bad, or the controller is bad. Measure voltage on the blue wire on the solenoid. It should read full pack voltage before the pedal is pushed and zero volts after pedal is pushed. If the blue wire does not have pack voltage on it before the pedal is pushed, the solenoid is bad (open coil) If it has pack voltage but does not drop when pedal is pushed, either the pedal microswitch or the controller is bad. |
