Default Just had a unique Individual leave the shop

He came in to get his eyeglasses fixed. He is in his mid 70"s and was throwing around advice- Like you need to walk More! and I show him my cast and two knee braces- Oh he says, and then He asked How I get around, when I am shooting? I said Mobility scooter or golf type cart.

I said something about the gas club car ( excuse my language) we have in the country and for some reason it wont go in reverse- He snaps- switch it out!!
Asked Switch what ( and I knew I shouldn't have asked that) He came back with the Whole rear end- most gas carts are interchangeable! Electric are another story.

He said his buddy used to maintain a couple different Golf courses carts
(who knows, it could have been in the late 60's)

you can find some good, in the strangest places- even if the man is squirrely

My question is he even close to correct?

I am betting myself Nope no way

If he is, it might broaden my search on a rear axle

Could be linkage to transaxle( rear end)
could be Syncros in rear end.

no way to tell with this little info.

Have you tried taking the shifter cable off at the transaxle and trying to shift it manually on the transaxle? If it works fine, then the problem it most likely a seized shifter cable
