Default Would a bad ITS Sensor be intermittent and feel like a slipped gear

My cart is acting up and it has been suggested that it could be the ITS sensor. With batteries fully charged, the cart will hesitate sometimes like something in the drivetrain is slipping. If you accelerate too hard, it will "slip". It is a custom high torque D&D Motor EZGO TXT. The hubs and axle splines are fine as well as the motor input splines. I feel like the motor is turning when this slipping is happening. I feel like it is something between the motor and wheels. However, could the ITS give this sensation or anything else?

Thanks

No. If motor is turning and cart not responding to pedal, trouble most likely not ITS.

If the hubs and the axle ends are not stripped then. It could be the the other end of the axle in the gear case, and it could be the motor coupler slipping,- rims could be slipping in the tire/ but i don't think so. or you have some bad gears in the rear end,

What is the Battery pack volts 12 hours after the charger turned off ?

What controller are you running? Whats the drive system, series or PDS, What year is the cart?

Sounds like a stripped hub to me. If the gears were going you would hear some serious noise. I replaced mine just short of being broken, you could see stress fractures around the base of the splines. I have not had the pleasure of experiencing an ITS failure but what you describe do not sound like it from what I have read.

Its a custom 72V EZGO TXT Series. Batteries are definitely good. Voltage is 78-79 Volts 12 hours after a charge without use. It has a 450 Alltrax Controller. After it slips. it will eventually catch again and will cruise like normal. Hubs are definitely fine. They are Scotty HD hubs and I have visually inspected them.

have you checked the differential oil to see if there are any metal shavings.

At 72v worth of power everything in the drive line is suspect. Pull the motor and check the input shaft.

Pulled the housing cover and everything looks good. All splines look good. Next suspect is intermediate gear slipping. I will pull the pinion gear out and take a closer look. May have to find a way to secure the gear to the shaft if it is slipping there

I'm not sure if he stated the motor was turning when cart entered the "not moving" condition. That is the unknown and hardest to remote troubleshoot.

I found out the problem. The intermediate gear was slipping on the high speed gear shaft. The factory shaft has a groove for a roll pin, however the aftermarket shaft does not. I got a 3/16 roll pin and drilled a hole with the gear in place. The groove helped center the bit. The cobalt drill cut through very easy. Most people don't have this problem. However, I have a 72V high torque motor on a stretched cart. As stated, it felt like a clutch slipping and was not loud or chattery. I tried to upload a pic for reference in case someone has the problem in the future but was not able to. Its a pretty easy fix, once you have the gear out. Thanks for all your input.
