I'm not sure what to do about a charger. This cart is for a neighbor. Cart runs well. It does periodically stop and the beeping noise starts. Upon lifting the foot off the pedal and pressing back down, the cart runs again just fine. That was before I cleaned the batteries though. I'm going to open up the controller to see what it looks like inside.

That looks like a factory FR switch installation so it has not been moved. Stock motor also. Nice looking cart for the money. Even with a new charger your under $1000 for a clean, running, attractive machine. About half the going rate in my area.

Suggest a DPI accusense 36v charger. Uses latest charging algorithm and floats the batteries after charging. Available for under $300 from a site sponsor "cartsunlimited.net or you can shop it elsewhere. Also you might find a used charger from someone who has converted to 48v.

Why do you guys suppose the seller had a 48V charger? I hope they didn't hook it up too much to the current batteries. I hope they are still good.

Individual.

Also, has anyone used the "speed chip" they sell on ebay for $10-11 bucks? Should I buy that?

It looks like your batteries are stamped C-3 and they don't look like 2013 batteries? what is the number and letter stamped in the lead post on each battery?. And it looks like it has a speed chip in it , take another pic of the front of the controller. Where it says tamper seal on the controller is that a plug in there with red wires looped in the plug?

There is always a hole in the body for a f&r switch. They didn't make different bodies for PDS versus series carts. The PDS carts got a hole plug in the body. It may just be missing on yours.
