may I still change the speed code as my cart presently sits, without replacing batteries, Mcor2 etc? cost is $ 100 by local repair club car shop.

Sure, the speed code 4 is a controller setting and it can be done at any time.

The only issue I see is you need to get the cart to a CC Dealer so they can burn in the SC4 into your controller... Replacing the MCOR2 with a 4 is as easy as ordering one from our favorite vendor here.... www.RevolutionGolfCars.com
