motor shake
04 club car precedent, new controller xct 400. I have been ridding and all was well. Today I stopped at stop sign and when I went to take off cart (motor)would shake. Got it back to the house and hooked my computer up the controller and it showed the batteries had 51.1 volts. When I pressed the gas the volts dropped to 42 volts and the motor volts only showed 3.5 volts. I checked all the batteries and cables. any help?

Re: motor shake
Sounds like the motor is shot/shorted.

Re: motor shake
A multimeter on the continuity test setting. You should have almost zero resistance between A1 and A2, and almost zero resistance (should make the meter beep) between F1 and F2 motor posts. Do the tests with the wires disconnected from the motor. Also check for continuity between all four posts and the base (frame) of the motor. If there's any continuity there, you've got a short.

Re: motor shake
Do the same test but this time measure the voltage on each individual battery while under load (pedal pressed).
Did you ever resolve the issue from the last thread where the charging was not working correctly? You may be triggering the "Low Voltage" or "Under Voltage" setting on your XCT400 controller. |

Re: motor shake
I will test. I have not fixed the first problem yet I put a load tester on each battery it showed each one was ok, did not show bad. going to try and charge them any way.
