Default 97 DS VGlide Unusual Internals ?

Hey guys,

I need help in identifying this drive system.... it doesn't match ANY of the diagrams I can find relating to it Serial No. ID...
I will admit to much more experience with EzGo, but hey, if was FREE, the owner even brought it over to me to get it out of his storage place !!

I have NEVER seen a resistor cart with this type of set up... I do recognize the OBC... but am at a loss with the "rocker switch FnR"....

I know northing of the history, it has been in deceased owner storage for 4-5 years.... just trying to see if I can get it going... the rest of it is in excellent shape. I have "converted" others in the past, wondering if this is some sort of Franken-Club Car.. BTW it does have Ingersoll-Rand badges on the sides...

Here are some pics, any help is appreciated.

You will find it to be the early regen cart. They had regen 1 and 2's. The 1's were somewhat of nightmares and that is a 1 controller......

And the rocker switch FNR is standard for those carts. Nothing wrong there as that was part of the design and continued with the IQ carts like I have.

So power that baby up with a fresh pack and see if she goes..... The parts are mostly available (except that controller) if needed and they even make conversion kits with harness and new style controller if needed.

scottyb - Carts Unlimited and David Hicks - Revolution Golf Cars will have what you need.

I do have to ask - what does the resistor coil do in that cart?

That makes sense- so the older regen controllers didn’t have that built in.

That is actually used for Dynamic Brake as the Regen brake does not work really well below about 8mph in those carts.
