Great point

Corrosion prevention starts with the battery installation.

These guys here are making a Saturday project out of cleaning of the cart, let em have a little foam and fun

Your right, end result is the same, you can make a project out of it, or just wash and go.

It is not the same. You cannot neutralize battery acid with water.

I have sprayed on some awesome and let sit a few minutes and hose off. I do wrap the f/r switch & fuse block in my series cart with a little cling wrap before starting.

Mild detergent in water. Brush lightly. Rinse using soft spray and common sense.

Worst thing I've had happen (twice) is reverse buzzer coming on for a little while.

Almost forgot. Never had it hurt grass or anything else.

Its the same, the batteries will be just as clean and no acid. The reality is, to each his own, I just try and offer an alternative so that not everyone has to feel they have to use baking soda, or coca cola, or whatever

Read up on Acid and Bases. You can neutralize acid with a base. a PH of 7 is neutral. Water is PH of 7. Baking soda is a PH of 9. Soapy water ph of about 12. Copious amounts of water WILL neutralize acids and bases. Battery acid is 0-1 PH.
