Average hours before motor replacement

Just a quick question,

I have an 06 TXT PDS, the hour meter reads 1256 hours. How many hours on average before motor rebuild/replacement??

There isn't a simple answer to your question. Some motors go 30 years with no problems. If your cart is all stock you just might not ever need another motor. The more you do to a cart like lifted, big wheels, bigger controller, ect ect the more likely you will need a new motor down the line.

EZGO doesn't mention the motor in their Periodic Service Schedule, but after 10 years I suspect it might need to be serviced. (Brushes replaced, carbon dust cleaned out of interior, commutator dressed if needed and shaft bearing replaced.)

I expected a numerical answer with 3 different bell curves for 4 scenarios.

sorry to jump in.Hour meter?? where's that? I have a1996 36v txt , does it has an hour meter on it?

I'm pretty sure you would see it if you have one. Like my 96 txt I'm pretty sure you dont.

had to look, they do make a hour meter for a electric cart. I agree Scotty, Dave must be having a bad day

Yep they make an hour meter. I was looking on ebay for a CC gas one and the one I was looking at I saw fine print and it was battery.

As close as I can come to anything like that is EZGO basis their Periodic Service Schedule on 250-300 hours of run time annually and Pezz's cart is only averaging about 125 hours per year.
