You might have to build a tree stand in the engine hoist?

Re: Pic of the golf cart I am working on
ok,, The guy emailed me about the 89 Club Car,It has 6-12 volt batteries. I Am going to get it,I am fairly sure. Might have to take my son to Memphis,Tn and really dont have the money for both. He is going out for a job and has no money,,so even at 25 kids come forst,,althoooooo i may change this soonn LOL. Any way, I am hoping that this is set up for 72 volt. Or, am I . What do you all think??? It is 500 bucks and he sez it runs, so ,should I go and get it????

Re: Pic of the golf cart I am working on
89 is a good yr CC. All the new style stuff fits them and aftermarket goodies are plentiful. Now....You need to know more about his 72v system. What kind of batteries? How old? what type of controller? What size? Who built it? What motor is in it? Stock or? What condition is the motor in?
72v is an extreme voltage cart. I would buy it in a moment if the components all worked well. This type of cart is not for every one? How is he charging 72v? You see? There is a lot to ask and understand about this cart..... |

Re: Pic of the golf cart I am working on
I emailed to set up a pickup date(it is 200 miles from here)But,I got to thinkin,,,,,This is a woman who returned my email(not that women cant know about golf carts and batts) but the way she put it made me think she does not know. She sez"It has 6 12 volt batteries. I guess that makes it 72 volt????" with the ? i am thinkin she dont know. Plus the ad sez it was charged and running. So, back at square one is it a 36 or 48 lol. Guess as soon as they get back to me I will going to pick it up. The body(at least the front) is is kinda bad shape, but for 500 not bad for a running cart(and I can go higher than 4 inch lift. The reason I sarted this project is cuz I cant get off of the cart at reg height(I have MD) The EZGO with 4 inch and 22 inch tires is still a bit difficult to get off So I want to go 6 or 8 inch lift. any wayz When and if I go get this I will take pics. Re: Pic of the golf cart I am working on
I'll bet $50 it is a 36v cart with six 6v batteries. Just ask her to look at the batts and count caps ...3 is 6v. 4 is 8v, etc

Re: Pic of the golf cart I am working on
Well, I finally got it going. The brakes work, it goes(altho 1 battery post got very hot) <so I am gona re reclean the post and cable ends. I kinda let it set to long and they coroded up again. All I need now is to make it work till I can afford New Batteries. Thanks for all your help and kinda wish I had waited cuz i spent close to 2500 and could have bought a newer one along time ago lol. But,I did have funand learned some too. Larry
