Forward & Reverse is backwards?

Ok im working on a g19 48v 1998. I orderd a new sticker on the dash for F & R and key......now after putting it on, reverse is forward, forward is reverse????what the heck. can it be the sticker? It runs fine, just wines allot, even when you move the tires by hand comeing from motor. any Ideas on this one.

Sounds like someone put the f/r switch in backwards. Pull out the drink holder (just "pops out") and use a srewdriver to push in the "tabs" on the back of the switch and put it back in the other direction. You may be hearing the speed sensor (for anti run away) when moving the tire, thats how the computer senses the car is moving without your foot on the accelerator pedal. Whining could be...motor armature brush end bearing/brushes/input shaft bearings or transaxle gears ? Good luck Dave
