What did you change in the torque limits map if you don’t mind sharing? |

Re: Tuning Software Profiles for Icon
Has anyone figured out the torque for going up hills? Mine constantly loses at least 50% power when going uphills. There is a "sloping load setting" and the first line (line 60) is named "Uphill stop control speed" and my min is set to 0 by default, max is 1000 and old is 1. Would changing this line result in better uphill torque? (I have the Toyota Neos controller)

The reason our carts slow down up hills isn’t so much a lack of torque, but a lack of adequate continuous discharge amps from the batteries. My 2022 i40L with factory AGM lead acids has no problem cruising flats at 33 (rpm limited), but slows to 22-25 up our moderately steep hills, because these batteries just can’t give the motor enough amps. I aim to prove this theory soon by switching to a 3 or 4 BigBattery 48V kit, which are wired in parallel so their current outputs are additive. The 4-pack is 320A continuous discharge, which should keep the motor at max rpm. The best benefit: redundancy to prevent a high-speed autobrake locking accident if one battery fails or stops producing power. |

I have the AGMs as well, so maybe that is it, but it slows to 10mph or so on some hills on the course. My top speed is 28mph (according to the display) after changing that using the software, but did wonder what that sloping load setting does.

I'll have a look around the controller params in the software some more. Would LOVE to find a programming solution to this before shelling out $3,500 for the BigBattery kit. |

Yeah, i believe it is line 60 on the Toyota Neos controller, but didn't change it bc I don't want to screw anything up.

Re: Tuning Software Profiles for Icon
Hello all!
I adjusted a 2022 I40L today. Cart was the typical slow acceleration and 25mph on GPS and speedometer. Was surprised the speedo was pretty accurate. I made the following changes: 03 02 01 - 51.5 (32mph) Vehicle FWD Speed 05 01 05 - 25.0 (old 10.0) Throttle Map 1/4 05 01 06 - 50.0 (old 45.0) Throttle Map 1/2 06 02 04 - 5.8 (old 10) FWD Acc Full HS 06 02 05 - 3.5 (old 3.5) FWD Acc Full LS 06 02 06 - 14.0 (old 20.0) FWD Acc Partial 10 01 07 - 7200 (old 6000) Mot Base Speed 5 10 01 08 - 400 (original) Mot Current Limit BS 0 10 01 09 - 350 (original) Mot Current Limit BS 1 10 01 10 - 275 (old 230) Mot Current Limit BS 2 10 01 11 - 275 (old 200) Mot Current Limit BS 3 10 01 12 - 275 (old 180) Mot Current Limit BS 4 10 01 13 - 275 (old 150) Mot Current Limit BS 5 Cart now had great acceleration, holds speed on inclines and will do 33mph on the straights. Owner was extremely happy with the results. |
