Softer Tires for Ride comfort?
So, no one was able to help with adjustable suspension, so only option seems to be to lower tire pressure. Came with Wandas. Anyone know of a better all-purpose tire (golf/road) that provides better absorption of poor surfaces? When I get on cracked golf cart paths or bumpy terrain, I have to slow down almost to a crawl not to hurt my back. I already tried customizing seat, still too firm.
Great cart for the road, but dealer should have warned me when I bought the "golf package). |

Re: Softer Tires for Ride comfort?
I've recently purchased Wanda tires for a Yamaha cart ( 8PR ), they're very uncomfortable, too hard. Be shure, to use 4PR ( ply rating ) only!

8" rims and the largest tire you can fit keeping in mind a the 2 or 4 ply thickness will give you the softest ride.

Thanks. Any make or models you are running or recommend that fit stock i20/EV1? I thought smaller, not larger would give better ride?

not sure how long you keep the cart parked but the stock tires i had would get flat spots bad. I would imagine the softer the tire, the more prone to flat spots. Dont think it would be an issue if you would be a daily driver. Even if you have flat spots, they go away after 10 minutes of driving. was too annoying for me.

Hah! Drive the cart every day depending on weather, running at 15 Lbs, flat spots over night!

Re: Softer Tires for Ride comfort?
Last summer I got a couple of 4 ply (6PR) ATV balloon type ATV lug pattern tires on Amazon for the rear of my cart. They made a big difference in comfort.
They were 21 x 10 x 8 THe 10 was wide enough to rub the leaf springs in hard cornering. I got some cheap 3/4" spacers to solve that problem. I do love hard corners - and the grip is phenomenal. I have similar 20s on the front. No lift required https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 |

Keep in mind , the softer the tire.....the faster they wear out!

Re: Softer Tires for Ride comfort?
Go Radial, I put 205/60 Radial and the ride is night and day, the handling is also much better. Problem is there now out of production and you have to go down to 205/55 because 205/65 will rub the fender liner that covers the frame when making sharp turns.

Re: Softer Tires for Ride comfort?
Interesting. Radials will be softer than 4 ply for slower driving? Can you use wheel spacer for larger tire? Think part of the problem is Wanda is low profile
