Mine have been through some pretty tough areas but.... still don't like it, a single stump and its toast..

Kinda crappy pictures, but I put mine on top. Its a club car, but it has a EZ axle in it. It doesn't seem to be a problem.

They would be fine on mine if it were not lifted. Mine have lift blocks that sit on top of the spring plate and the round tube right where the cables are..

Oh yes, usually on carts that are generally not well maintained,

The shoe is harder than the drum. Okay my left cheek is harder than the drum .... The edge of the shoe will cut the drum just like it was on a lathe. Is that what happened? Hard to tell from your pics.

I cannot tell how it happened, only that it was that way for quite a while because you can feel the bump in the brake lining where it was not worn down as much. Seriously, have you really seen a drum do this before?

I get it, it's a race cart. I'll have to review my options this weekend. It would be real easy to switch it right now, seeing as how I'm so familiar with the setup. We'll see....

Yes, twice I have seen them completely cut off and once I was able to break off the piece by hand..... several other time I saw the beginnings of the cut..... it is done by the shoe after the pad is worn off. weird yours looked like somebody put new shoes on after it happened? Right? There is a raised stripe of shoe where there was no drum to wear it?
