Mci stands for motor cost investigation. Basically in 2004 (I think it was 04 they redesigned the twin cylinder robin. They look very similar to the pre-mci but there’s a lot of internal differences between them.

If the cart was involved in a fire I’d consider parting out what’s left that’s good on the motor and swapping in a predator with a vegas carts kit. The prices of the electronic parts that are probably melted or damaged from heat will cost more than it’s probably worth.

Stay away from aftermarket parts. They suck, don’t work, and don’t last on these motors. Most of the oem stuff is still available but pricey because this engine has been discontinued for 15 years.

If you decide to part it out would you be interesting in selling the shifter part on top of differential ? and the shifter itself and bracket it mounts in including all the hardware so I can make mine shift again. I got a good 2003 with the single shift cable and when I bought it all the parts for shifting it had been removed. That is if the fire didn't damage it. I also need the brake cables. No big deal if you don't want to sell anything off it but just asking.

engine seems not to be damaged by fire. brother-in-law said it quit running about 3 months before fire and he could not get it started. If I can get it running will then decide on next steps.89.jpg

That’s not nearly as bad as I expected to see. She can be saved

I’ve saved carts in much worse shape than that
