Its a good place to start. You have to use a process of elimination. If you have a volt meter, you can wait for it to do it again and then start looking for the end of the voltage line. In an older cart connections could be worn in F/R switch or speed control assembly. Good luck!

today i have no forward at all. Checked for loose connections not finding any.What happens if i reverse 2 wires on the motor? Reverse is now forward and i have no reverse. Will that damage the motor? I dont really care if i have reverse. It is more of a toy for the grandkids than anything else.

ok thnx to everyone u all helped out it went to the selnoid in the back but wasnt the problem it was the v glide gear but im workin on it i connected the batters an messed one up pos. to pos. an blew fuse went an got one today an bout to have my cart up an running

The batteries connect by going from the pos from one battery then it goes to the neg of the next.Any other way and you end up with some acid all over the place.
