New cart ideas?
Since the old cart went up in flames, its time to figure out what's next. I am on the fence of build vs buy. Thinking I should restore an EZGO PDS again.....or maybe just buy an RXV. I kind of like the way the Yamahas look, but don't know anything about them. There is a cool looking Tomberlin for sale near me.....I understand parts are an issue.

Stick with one of the 3 major makers. Build up a stock cart if you enjoy tinkering. Or buy something new if you prefer to spend your time and $ driving around There are a lot of possibilities |

Re: New cart ideas?
I'm pretty intrigued by the RXV because of the AC electrical system but I'm not sure if their are as many aftermarket options to improve performance as their are DC carts.

I have a 2013 rvx and it's been great so far. Very fast and comfortable. It has new batteries but even with us riding they have barely drained. Don't regret the purchase at all.

Re: New cart ideas?
Did the insurance company total the old cart and take possession of it, or pay the claim and stick you with disposing of the carcass?
If you still have access to the old one, it looks like there might be some salvageable parts, so I'd go with another PDS. Actually, I'd go with another PDS anyway. |

I suggested rebuilding the cart originally - Doesn't look that bad to me. Make better/badder |

It's going to auction. Only part I am unhappy about is I have to also give them my brand new DPI 48 volt charger.
