There are good panels out there that fit on the cart's roof and will put out about 250W in bright sunlight. You can get them with electronics that connect to your battery pack. They will extend your range somewhat - especially if you are playing golf. The cart sits when you are hitting shots, putting, etc. The panel will give you about 4 amp hours of additional capacity. (If it's putting out 200W or so)

Your are going to at least have 1200 watts of solar panels plus the converter to change dc to 120vac.

You don't want to do that. There are nice dc converters that will allow you to charge directly from the panel. No AC conversion.

The best option is to get a couple of panels and wire in series , then go thru a MPPT charge controller set to your battery's voltage(4 then connect to your battery pack. With enough wattage PV, you could completely recharge in a couple of sunny days.

Here are some more options, rooftop panel charging wise... was considering this myself, probably would help a bit while driving and while it's parked in the sun... the total weight of the system would be my concern, if it's only giving a couple amps of charge vs. how much weight it adds you'll be lugging around.

This one kit, a very pricey one, replaces the entire plastic roof with a solar panel. Looks ugly as heck though.

Too bad they don't just make the stock roof a solar panel to begin with.

I might hold out for the micro sized nuclear reactor
