replaced mcore and cart still hesitates
Hi All,
I replaced the MCORE on my 2001 club car 48v ds, vin #AC0132-046925, and i still have the hesitation that was there before replacing the MCORE. I do notice that it is more pronounced when the cart is loaded, ie going uphill. Any ideas on what could be causing this? What I should check? Thanks, Clay |

Low battery voltage would be the first thing I'd look at. What's the total battery pack voltage?

it is 48V system. i replaced the batteries last year and other than the hesitation (jerky when starting up) it seems to be fine.

Had the exact same issue on my 2003 DS. It would do the drop out at slow speeds and I wasn't able to maintain a constant slow speed even after replacing the MCOR. I did some searching and found the post on the armature that connects to the go pedal wears down. If you look from the top down on the pedal it's the one you can see, about 1/4 inch around and 2 inches long. I put some gorilla tape around it and my cart works like new. The armature is just pot metal and the constant pushing on the pedal wears it down a very small amount. That small amount is huge to the internals of the MCOR. Try wrapping about 2-3 turns of tape on it reassemble and try it out. If it works then you can come up with a more permanant solution such as a piece of hose or metal sleeve. I still have the tape on mine and it works fine! |
