Okay one last question, my plan is to go with the yewy charger shown above. I have read all the threads and I’m fairly confident I understand but want to write it down to make sure I got it right and if anyone searches in the future.

Steps
Clip 6 wire plug off OBC and remove all wires except the white and blue.
Crimp or solder the white and blue wires together and wrap with heat shrink
Clip the 10g Black wire at the OBC (from receptacle) and put a 5/16” ring terminal and run to connection block
Remove the 8ga black wire that ran into the OBC from the connection block
Run a new 8ga black wire from the connection block to pack negative
Unbolt OBC including grey fuse plug and remove from cart and toss in the garbage

Couple additional things
Can I trace back the other four wires that run out of the 6 pin connector and remove them? At that point I could remove the plug completely and just connect the white and blue wires somewhere else.

Can I use the existing pack negative to OBC black wire and terminate that and connect to the connection block (it may be too short)?

Is using the connection block a bad idea, should I go straight to b-?

I don't see any benefit to try to remove the OBC wires from the harness.

Cutting the wires flush with the OBC and using that connector as a jump plug for the blue and white wires works well.

As far as the negative from the charger receptacle goes, as long as it reaches the pack negative, the path is whatever is more convenient.

You could just cut the 2 black 10ga wires (one from the receptacle and the other that goes to the connection block) flush with the OBC and splice them together (solder would be best).

You can then remove and throw the OBC in the garbage but You should consider getting a new pack negative cable rather than trying to re-crimp the original 6ga cable that goes through the OBC.

Thanks for the ideas, I started doing the bypass last night and it was perfect to just connect the two black wires coming out of the OBC and I see why you said it would be a pain to track all the wires.

I guess a nice part is functionally the cart wiring remains stock and just the ocb is removed so it’s easy to convert back (if for some crazy reason I ever wanted to)

What’s weird is why the main cable runs through the OBC, is that acting like a ferrite or just a convenient way of routing the wire?

I think I will pull the solenoid off also and clean it up and brush the terminals and replace the nuts, anything I should look out for while I’m in there?
