Default trojan 875

I'm putting in a set of trojan 875 batteries in a cart tomorrow. The reason for the change is that the guy has one battery leaking water/acid. So he wants a new set.

Has anyone had any luck with a patch material to stop a leak on a Trojan battery.

I believe these batteries should have at least 2 more years on them. So I would rather use them in another cart instead of giving them up for a core.

Default Re: trojan 875

I have used rubberized silicone (Blue or Black RTV) on them before, but the batteries MUST vent easily if not the tensile strength of the RTV will fail/stretch under pressure and go to leaking.
