Default Duracell batteries

My workplace just bought a set of EGC2 batteries for the personnel cart I use at work, and they got a really good price (cheaper than in the link)
https://www.samsclub.com/sams/durace...prod3590220.ip

How good are these compared to Trojan or Crown? I can get 8 of these for what 6 Crown batteries would cost if I buy them through my employer.

I've never seen a single customers cart with budget batterys come in and still get a good discharge time.

I see budget batterys last 2-3 years max for residential casual use and 1.5 max years on the golf every other day kind of people.

The sad truth is my works computer / phone system is incorporated with each other so when someone calls we know exactly who they are and the status of their cart in shop. We can also track battery quotas to help eliminate cold calling.
Well we can actually take notes and see XYZ customer called on 11/17 for battery prices. Then called on 3/19 asking to speak to service and on 4/19 the cart shows up with 9/17 date coded durasucks that now have a 16 min discharge with all 6 having a immediate 1.28-1.06v drop on a 60amp load test at full charge and a really sucky hydro test.

I don't like them. I've seen nothing but failures out of them and even more of a failure rate if you have a High Output system or using it for any more then a mailbox runner.

That's just my opinion. *♂️

I bought my Duracell's Feb of 2018 along with a Gen IV DPI charger.
5 of the batteries were manufactured 1-18, the 6th battery was manufactured 12-17.
The charger settings are per a phone call to Deka (manufacture of Duracell)
I play at least 18 holes of golf just about every day and drive a half mile each way to and from the course (sometimes twice a day) and have had 0 problems.
I do keep the charger connected to the cart whenever not in use and have also taken the charger off the cart in the middle of a charge.
Check the water every other week, especially when the batteries are new.

Economy grade "budget grade" batteries are typically lower AH capacity batteries, so they don't last as long and being lower capacity, they are worked harder, so they do fail more often. However the Duracell EGC2 battery posted appears to be a relabeled Deka/East Penn GC-15 6V-230AH battery, so it has slightly more AH capacity (2.2%) than the 6V-225AH Crown CR-225 and the Trojan T-105 batteries that are typically used for standard capacity 36V battery packs.

I'd install them in my cart, especially if they were less than $100 each.
