Installing new rear pads, but hub wont go back...
Hey guys so my first time installing drum brakes. I got the pads on and tried to loosen the little screw up top, and the other one on the bottom, but now when the hub goes on, seems super hard to turn the hub. I dont want to burn out the motor. Will this loosen up once I lower it down or should I not drive it?
It is a 1987 club car DS |

Re: Installing new rear pads, but hub wont go back...
They should NOT be hard to turn. It needs to be adjusted properly PRIOR to using your cart.
This video might help you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lydycdqZe3s It is a bit of a long winded video, but it covers the adjustment process very well. Update: Here is another video ... not as long winded but has some good tips in it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6VprJEbptg |

Ok i loosed it up a bit so its not like flying free flowing, but a little push and it will move without giving it my all so hopefully that should do it.
