i think those batteries they were borrowing were from the killacycle... LiFePo4 is really cool stuff! super high discharge and charge capabilities, very flat discharge curve, safer than lipo. i was looking up the prices last night... $1800-ish for a 48v 100ah pack.

the siamese motors are neat! he takes two series wound traction motors and wires them in series for torque off the line then switches them to parallel once the car hits 88mph. heres his homepage plasmaboyracing.com
