Yep, I used 8" rims, but I bought 2+5 offset 8" rims. I did this in order to move the wheels further away from the frame, giving it a wider stance. There was also some concern that the inner sidewall of the much larger 22" tires would rub against the suspension. I don't know if they would have rubbed for sure, but I figured having a wider track on the now-taller cart was worth it, and the wheels were cheap.
My original stock 8" wheels are still mounted to my stock 18" tires and sitting in the corner of my garage. |
