Sounds good if the surface is textured or orange peeled make sure you let your sign guy know, so he can use the correct material. If you or anyone else need any decals let me know we can get you taken care of!

I told him that the cargo box is a smooth gloss black, so I think the vehicle vinyl should be fine. Thanks!

Yeah, a good high performance vinyl (3m) will be good for a lot of years.

Yeah digital printers are really cool, we have a full solvent printer and ventilation is required until it dries, but the ink lasts a lot longer than the other ink types. We can print all sorts of stuff like diamond plate, wood grain, carbon fiber and much more. Skies the limit.

Well guys I goofed up and the utility box is a textured material. The good news is I hadn't put in my order yet with the local sign shop...
I may not end up getting a decal, since I am worried that it would get scraped off anyway with stuff going in and out if the bed...
I appreciate all of your guys responses!

How textured is it? Is it like a standard cooler texture or something with a deeper texture

It's textured just like the black front and rear roof struts of a Club Car (newer roof style). Not too rough, but certainly not smooth like a car.
