Default Carryall 2 Bent Right Rear Axle

I have a 2000 Carryall 2 with a bent passenger side axle. It's not bent a lot, just enough that the brake shoes rub slightly and it can be felt when riding. I know it's not the brake drum because I tried the drum from the other side and it still rubbed!

Is there anything I can do to fix this short of replacing the entire right axle assembly ($300)? If not, how easy is it to replace the axle?

Any advice is apprciated! Carter

look for a used axle shaft. They are a no brainer to install.Pop the drum off and 4 bolts and the axle flange, put the drum on the lug studs with 2 lug nuts on upside down and use it to slide hammer the shaft out.

Did you make sure the axle bearing is not the problem.

If you have a drive shaft shop around you, They can straighten it for you

Its like a bent crankshaft on a small engine. You can only safely bend them back 1 time.
