Swapping an 88 rear into a 99 DS questions
Can you just swap the 88 rear axel onto the 99 engine cradle?
Or you have to have the 88 cradle to make it all work? What else is needed to make this Rear end swap work correctly? I am going big block into the 99 as to why I am asking. |

Re: Swapping an 88 rear into a 99 DS questions
Unfortunately, your going to need the 88 cradle with the 88 axle,
The pre-96 cradles go all of the way back to the axle and leaf springs for support, The rear of the 99 cradle gets "sandwiched" in between the engine and unitized transaxle for support. |
