Club car precedent not starting
Hello i have a 2005 club car precedent. It won't turn over. I have replaced the solenoid twice, new switch on the gas pedal and i tested it, new micro switch on the forward reverse lever. As soon as i turn the key on i have power to both small terminals on the solenoid. I did not have power to Any wire on the pedal switch ori dont not have power to any wire on the micro switch. I do not know if they are suppose to have power. I can jump the solenoid and the motor turns over fine. Please help

Re: Club car precedent not starting
Hmm if you jump the solenoid and the cart runs, but by pushing the pedal it won’t (because you said you don’t get any voltage through that pedal switch or micro switch), you probably have a wire issue that you will have to search out

Re: Club car precedent not starting
You will need a schematic to trace from key switch wire to pedal switch to micro switch etc. to find where that disconnect is. According to what your saying the solenoid does get power by key, but not other components.

Re: Club car precedent not starting
Could it be the key switch. With the key on i tested power on the back of the ignition. The red and blue have power but the black and white with black stripe does not have put power

Re: Club car precedent not starting
Some of your things may not be powered until you hit the gas pedal. You can test it and bypass the keyswitch if you want

Re: Club car precedent not starting
Is it a three way switch that also powers lights?

Re: Club car precedent not starting
Without a diagram I dont want to say for sure so you don’t burn anything up lol. But if there is no other function on it like lights then basically you would unscrew each wire ( marking where each wire came from so you can reinstall it) and hold them all together with an alligator test lead or something similar
