Default Front end alignment

I have a 1987 Club Car gas DS not lifted and I have been working on the front end. I've replaced the bushings and shoulder bolts in both the A arms as well as the bushings in the leaf spring. The king pins and tie rods and drag link all are fine. I did discover the cam bolt to adjust the camber somebody has broken off the tip that the 7mm goes onto to adjust it. I have a new bolt coming. My question is, should the adjustments to the camber be made with the wheels on or off the ground? I'm thinking off the ground but wanted to confirm.

Thank you sir but my question is, do I adjust camber with the front wheels on the ground or jacked up into the air? It seems to me it would be easier to adjust camber without weight on the spring.

You could likely do it either way (since they don't address it in the directions), but when you check the camber before and after making an adjustment, the wheels need to be on the ground in order to use the square ruler to check them. If it were me I'd probably:
  1. Use the square to check initial camber as directed
  2. Jack up front end of cart and make the adjustments (tires in the air)
  3. Lower front end back down completely and check camber again
  4. Repeat until camber is within range

I have found that getting the measurements on the ground works better. I will make adjustments then roll cart back and forth about 6 feet then check it again. If you get measurements in the air they will change once under a load.

Makes sense. I look forward to getting my cam bolt replaced and playing with it to see how close I can get it. Thank y'all!
