Default flathead to ohv

I have 86 carryall had flathead engine now has ohvfe290. I can run engine if I throttle if with my hand but if I add a throttle cable so foot pedal works it gets cable red hit and let's itself! anyone ever seen sumtin like that ?

Its using the throttle cable as the ground. Fix that and that'll quit happening :-)

Yes, check the ground to the engine and to the frame, and to the battery. Make sure they are clean and tight.
