Let's try to stay on thread. My windshield did the same thing along with alot of rattling. The upper clips would slide down gradually and the windshield would rattle more and more. I put them back up into position and screwed them into the frame and it seemed to fix the rattle and most of the squeek.

Sprayed WD-40 down the plastic clips that hold it the the frame as well as around the round rubber screws on the bottom of each side, all squeeking gone! Thank god, so much more pleasant now.
