What is the gear ratio 2 stroke cart

I'm needing to know what the gear ratio is on a 1984 2 stroke cart that has the spicer axle...iv got a project going on right now and iv got another axle but am not sure if the gears are the same or not... on the ezgo axle its stamped 5:83..? is that the ring and pinion...? and on the other axle iv got is out of a ...go-force? not sure thats what i was told it was from but the gear ratio comes out to be 3.8 gear..? theirs 4t pinion and 49t ring gear takes 12.25 turns for 1 revolution of the ring...if anyone has and idea what axle i may have or what the ezgo axle is.. im being lazy and dont want to go out back in the snow and jack up the axle to ck it..so yea any help would be great

I heard it was 9 to 1. You can raise the back axle off the ground , mark your tire and the driven clutch.Rotate your tires one time and count how many times your driven clutch rotates That will be give your your ratio.

But like in a truck they measure it in a different way like4.10 gearing how would you come up with that ratio?

The drive shaft will turn 4.1 times for every time your wheel turns once. so if your ezgo has a 9 to 1 the secondary clutch on the dif will turn 9 times for every time your tire does if it's 7 to 1 it will turn 7 times , and so on

Well the ratio came out to be 12.25:1
