Re: Marathon Clutch-Mod. Update
Here are the Clutch-Pics.It's important that the shims go against the spider and not the cover, there is a groove in the cover to locate the spring and keep it from moving around. As i posted earlier,I have been running 1 shim @ 3/16" for the past 2 seasons and have been very happy with the results.A few weeks ago I added another shim which doubled the thickness, and it seems to have more low-end.I want to try more shims as soon as I get some free-time().Hope the pics help.

Re: Marathon Clutch-Mod. Update
Not sure on the Medalist,Look into it a little,or open it up and if it is a spring-style clutch,it will work.

Re: Marathon Clutch-Mod. Update
If you have a comet duster clutch it will not work. I tried it and the clutch would not engage all the way. You will have to get a stiffer spring or different pucks to make a difference.

Re: Marathon Clutch-Mod. Update
There is an earlier version that was a stock-replacement thru the dealers. Its' a Comet made for Ez-Go.This is the one I am not sure about.I know the Duster is set up differently.

Re: Marathon Clutch-Mod. Update
both of these came off of 89s. we are using the black one, and the insides are just like yours. i think the comet is similar, but forget. as to sourcing the washers, most spring shops should have these? anywhere on line? thx

Re: Marathon Clutch-Mod. Update
No I don't know much about that style,I've only used the Early-Style.I'll see what I can find out.As Far as the shims,You can use regular Flat-Washers,these just fit very good and are thicker than normal washers.I can get the washers and ship them if anyone wants them. They are $1.75 each.Just have to make sure we don't upset the higher-ups,maybe a moderator can give us an ok or a no-way to announce these for sale?
