Re: 1999 yamaha G16A gas problem need help!!
You know me...alway's throwing my 2 cents in. Take the "pulsar line" off the fuel pump, take the oil fill cap off and put a rag over it. Now, with your mouth, blow into the pulsar line "toward the engine". Do you feel ANY restriction? If so, oil and water have cuagulated and partially plugged the line. It happens to us in the cold/damp Pacific Northwest all the time. The fix? Take some carb cleaner and squirt into the line and use compressed air to blow the crap back into the engine. 2 choice's change oil and it may come back or try 1 qt of pure synthetic oil (moisture doesn't seem to mix with it). The other big problem I have noticed lately is the bad gas (ethenol added), it seems to attract moisture and is causing all kinds of problems with the fuel system. Even the Yamaha factory has now purchased "special" gas with out the additive. OK a quater's worth. Good luck on the fix.

The pulse has no vacuum, it only flutters +/- pressure with the piston in the engine. If you take the line off the carb it should spurt gas each pulse on the starter.

Thanks for putting your 2 cents in. Cause, it worked. To took the pulse line off and it was stopped up. I took the hose off and blew through the connection the motor. Put everything back together and it pulsed like it should. Thanks again to all that replied to my question.

Good to hear your cart is now running good. Keep an eye on the oil level to make sure your original oil dilution problem is also corrected. Now you can have some fun !!!
