warning light.. can i add after market fuel gauge
i have a 2001 ez-go txt gas... it has low fuel warning light "no gauge",, if i connect wires from low fuel warning light to a after market fuel gauge.. will gauge work !!

No! a fuel level gauge is operated by a fuel level float moving up or down with the fuel level. It's a simple resistor which changes with the fuel level in ohms. With the gauge connected to the sending unit the ohms applied at the guage will give you the fuel level. Hope this makes sense. Anyhow the only way to make a fuel gauge work is to install a sender in the tank. It can be done with an aftermarket sender that's adjustable for the depth of the tank if you want to go to the trouble.

so the sender unit in the tank won't operate a gas gauge... i seen some adjustable sender units a my local west marine

If you have a stock ez go gas tank, ezgo makes a stock variable resister sending unit shown in link below. Then you would need compatible electric fuel gage for dash mount
