83 marathon
I was given a golf cart and im trying to identify it. S# 284322 M.C. D0983. I think its an 1983 marathon. but I havnt found any like mine with a gas motor, do they come with a gas motor? 4 or 2 stroke?
thx to this site i have been able to get this far. this one has been striped of parts and left in a field to rot. i also got a 91 yamaha G9 thats 80% compleat. it was electric but the motor wont turn over and the rear end seams to be locked up too. iwas told the ez go motor ran but may need a carb rebuild. my plan is to put the gas motor in the yamaha and the rear end. |

Re: 83 marathon
you should just get some tires, a gas tank, and a few parts and that thing will be driving down the road

Re: 83 marathon
Wait, did you just hook random wires to random spots?Anyhow, there's a great wiring schematic on here.
Your's looks pretty close to mine, at least the engine, so I think you'd be able to use this.I rewired my 88 with this diagram and it worked great. |

Re: 83 marathon
lol no they were labed and just mached them up, most of the wires were on the starter or fwd/rev switch. i just pulled the motor and found a green wire on the starter labled DF but its only a 1/4 inch long so idont know were it goes. and that could be the problem
