Hi 4 stroke did you adjust the valves, if they arn't set right it will cause low compression and won't run right, Link on adjusting below, Good Luck

Well this cart was running good till yesturday,it just died right out and won't run at all.I did a compression test and i get 50psi in both cylinders, now could this be a valve, cam or timeing issue?..Or should i look at a top end rebuild..thxs

I was also wondering when setting the valves should you be on compression stroke?..The thread here just says have lobe down then adjust,is the lobe 90* down when adjusting...thxs

The lobe should be down, after adjusting all the valves recheck, and make sure to tighten nuts

Well i rechecked the valves twice and still can't get anymore than 50 psi in both cylinders,i guess this motor needs some new rings...

the valves beat them up into the seats it needs new hardened valves that is a known issue.
