I found a brand new electric start Kohler Command 20 on the local Craigslist for $500. Opinions on this motor? I may have to mill the crank, I think its a 1 7/16's shaft.

Things to consider, if you want to run that motor above 35-3800 rpm you'll need to find some valve springs (rev kit) for it. I dont know if that even exists for a Kohler?
Kohler makes a great motor but you may have issues when it comes to performance mods.
I have trouble finding stuff for the Honda. Briggs has tons of stuff available.
Did you find a rear end?

A guy I know has a virtual golf cart junkyard....I need to get over to his place and look around. Thanks for the info on performance mods for a Kohler Ess, I'll just pass on it and keep looking.
