G9 Engine Rebuild
First thanks for the forum there is a lot of great info on here. Hopefully I can find some more with your help.
I recently tore down my engine in my G9 cart. It was a real mosquito killer and by the looks of the rings and cylinder it does't look to bad. How ever it smoked a ton and ran rough. I had to pull the choke out a little to keep it running. However since I have it apart I think I am going to bore the cylinder .50 and buy a new piston and rings for it. Can anyone recommend a good place to purchase the parts. The cylinder pulser wires were completely deteriorated so I am going to have to replace that as well. Would this ale the engine run rough? Also will the new plug fit through the whole in the engine case with the grommet out? My last question is I have installed a jakes fit kit and it makes the engine tilt at an angle and I filled the engine with a compete quart which blew oil in the air box. So I replaced the air filter and cleaned all that up but yet it still smoked a lot. I know guys say only fill 3/4 of the way which shows full on the engine stick. I am wondering if there is a kit out there while I have the engine out to level the engine with a bracket of some sort? Thank for any suggestions you can help me out with. |
