G2 Input shaft
Sold my beater cart and the backup cart had to governor come apart and mess up the gears. found a new input shaft but it is around 0.002 bigger that the bearing it goes into. talking to friend that is a machinist he said most the time setting things up he will have that much run out on a part. so the question is do i try to find another shaft, have him try to turn it down, or try to find a different bearing?

Re: G2 Input shaft
You should be able to heat the bearing to 250 degs. We used hot oil to submerge the bearing in. If the oil starts to smoke, back off the heat a little bit.
Good luck. |
