Default Yamaha Drive: Machined Clutch?

Ok I am going to be putting a rear seat on my 2009 Yamaha Drive. The suspension will be stock, but I am going to go with 12" rims and low profile tires. Do I need to machine the clutch so that it will climb the hills, or is that only necessary when golf carts are lifted with bigger tires?

TIA for your help.
