I dont know the difference on factory axles but I am looking into lifting an '87 I recently bought and didnt really want to use those spacer blocks. I called Jakes lifts and they told me the drop axle lift/part# 6200 will work on a Marathon but you have to shim the spindles.

ElBurro is right. Not a direct bolt on, but you'll get it to fit. You'll need new spring plates as yours are square. The steering is what you'll have issues with. You will need to purchase riser spindles and change the steering arm to a 2 - tie rod end for proper component clearance. That's how I would do it - That is unless you WANT to have your steering tie rod hanging 3" below the axle.
