Default Springtime...Back to the G1 rebuild

After an extended hiatus due to the particularly long and miserable winter, I'm finally working on it again. Of course, the only way to get my garage back is to get this thing finished anyway. Here are some pics of the cart and my recent work on this project:

My G1, before I started this project:

My G1's frame a few days later.. when I decided to start this project. At this point I was officially commited to the project.

Modifying the front end for the 6" lift.

Same mod, from the front view.

Last Night, forging a new steering linkage.

The partially done new linkage.

Todays work included:
The frame, partially painted, with the lift

Same thing, different angle.

Wanted to get an idea of how she would look, so I tossed the front end on.

Side view.

Thats all for today. Actually, most of it is just tack welded. I am waiting to get the new wheels to make sure everything fits right before I make it all permanent. I'll continue to post as it progresses. Any thoughts or input is always appreciated. Cheers!
