Welding rear end of G9
I saw a member on the site one time weld up the rear end on his G9 cart, I was trying to find him so i can send him a PM about it, but never could find him. Anyways, can anyone explain or show me pictures on how to weld up the rear end. I guess what i am asking is where or what to weld?

Re: Welding rear end of G9
my two cents is unless you never plan to drive on a hard surface like black top or cement the welding is not the best way to go, it makes it hard to turn and with two people riding it gets worse. even in the mud it will want to go straight no matter were you point the front wheels, there just is not enough weight on the front axle to push the wheels down to get a bite. just something to think about because when you weld it up there is no going back.

Really, thanks for the tip I saw the guy that did it here and said it was fine on concrete but after doing a little math with the whole weight ratio. I would have to agree, However, it would be nice for someone to prove me wrong lol.

I have to agree with pm. I've heard the same thing. Although, I personally have not tried this. I'm sure a posi rearend would be much better on the trails.

Re: Welding rear end of G9
I have been unable to find a posi trac for a 93 g9. I know the later g9 (93_95) has a couple different parts than the g9's before 93. I dont know if that make a difference or not, i would really like both wheels spinning becausei am planning for 26's or 27's.

Re: Welding rear end of G9
Im going to use the stock engine for now with a power spring kit and probably only have 26's at the most. once the motor gives out i am going to but in a v-twin. Also PizzaMaker, you have a turbo on your cart right?
