Default 2013 Precedent OBC Bypass

I've got a neighbor with an Excel Precedent that has all of the electronics on the back wall behind the batteries. He bout a smart charger and asked me to help make it work. I'm assuming I just need to bypass the OBC, but my question is what is the best way to get to it? Do I need to remover the batteries or maybe go at it from underneath the cart? I've done it on the older style that had the 4x12 and all of the electronics in the center of the battery tub, just a bit stumped on this one and thought I would ask for guidance.

Easiest way is put it up on jack stands and go underneath, if you have the equipment to do it. There's a black plastic splash shield that needs to be removed and then all the wiring is right there.

Otherwise the two center batteries have to be removed and the panel carefully lifted up and tipped forward.

Another way is to disconnect pack pos and neg...Put a piece of plywood over the batteries, remove the screw from the panel and just pull up on it...Watch this video around the 1:30 minute mark..

That sounds easier, so I'll give it a try first. Thanks!

Thanks for that video, it helped me too. BTW, not that its hard to scrub to where you want but did you know you can post a link that starts the video at a specific time (after YouTube gets paid via ads of course)? ie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IY0MqKoGBdM?t=90 starts it at 1:30 minute mark. When you click the "Share" button look at the bottom of the pop up window for a check box that says "Start at".

Thanks again!

Neither of mine will pull up that far without yanking some wires apart.
But if it works on yours, go for it!
