DS Rear End & Precedent Rear End Swap

Is the DS Series Rear End & Precedent IQ Rear End swappable? I'm not talking about the motors of course - I know those cant be swapped.

Reason for asking:

I am very well "invested" in a Innovative 2-speed rear end on my '98 DS that I love and don't want to let go of when I sell my DS (I sure am going to miss my D&D ES-58 )
I also have a bone stock IQ '07 Precedent that I would like to put the 2-speed rear end under, then put its rear end under the DS.

In order for this to work the Series motor and IQ motor would need to use the same mounting pattern/splines/shaft size. I did some rudimentary measuring and the leaf springs 'seem' to mount in the same location, brakes also 'appear' to be the same.

Anyone whos ever installed a big D&D motor knows how dangerous and difficult it is. This is one time Id like to know before I try.

Might have a different name on it, but for all intents it’s the same rear end. Brakes are slightly different, but nothing that will prevent it from working exactly the same.

What you may have an issue with on the precedent is clearance for the motor if it’s huge. I’d only worry about that bridge when you get to it.
