Default Might be a dumb question!

I am a newbie! I just bought a used, but refurbished, 05 TXT. It looks like a new cart with new 12 in wheels and tires. The tires look like offroad type tires and are new.

My question........ it does not seem to have very much power. At take off and full speed. I know it is just a stock golf cart and I may be expecting too much, but is there anything you can do that is the best bang for the buck to make it a little stronger? I know it being lifted and the bigger tires is probably a big part of it.

Thanks for the help in advance.

There are so many factors that could cause this...

Clutches, engine compression, belts, improper valve adjustments, operator expectations and more.

I assume a dealership did the refurb? Have you asked them about the issue?

No, I have not asked them. I am in the car business and bought it this week at an auction. Its probably me, but I play quite a bit of golf and I know some golf carts I have been on are stronger than this.....but don't the newer carts have more horse power?

Go to the gas ez-go tech section and do some reading.

There is a lot of information in there and it may help you optimize what you have
