Default Electric 4x4 conversion

New here and I have a few design concepts/questions I wanted to throw out there. Hopefully someone can tell me if this is even feasible. I plan on converting a 3 wheel cart into a 4 wheel and I've got a lead on a Honda 400ex front suspension for relatively cheap. but before starting on the IFS I wanted to check out all options for a 4x4 conversion. I've looked at Imaginative's setup and while its nice $2,000 is a little out of my price range. What if any are yall's thoughts on mounting an electric motor vertically with the shaft facing down and using either a 90 degree gearbox or a front/modified rear differential to send a driveshaft to both the front and rear. I realize this could make the cart top heavy but heck I can always fab up a roll cage. I appreciate any input yall might have.

sounds feasable, but for me i think you should just take on the ifs conversion.putting power to the front and being able to steer is a lotta beer time.
